Views

Perhaps what differentiates La Lanterne most from other bed and breakfasts is our central location and magnificent views of the village of Sarlat and its medieval architecture. We are front and center to Saint Sacerdos Cathedral and Lanterne Des Morts with completely unobstructed views. The famous photographs of Rue Montaigne often include our home as it is both picturesque and centrally located. The Apartment also showcases views across the rooftops of the medieval village of Sarlat as it is on the second floor.

Breakfast

Guest expectations are always exceeded with our breakfast presentation. We include fresh herbs from our organic garden, local breads and pastries from the boulangerie, and French cheeses and jams from the local markets among other goodies to start your day in Sarlat.

Secluded Private Courtyard

Quickly escape the public view by popping into our private courtyard. This is an incredibly scarce feature for homes within the medieval walls of Sarlat and is a treasured amenity for guests. Enjoy a glass of wine, a good book, or a chat with other guests among the gardened area.

Incredible Guest Lounge

Boasting high ceilings, antique beams, and incredible wood and terra cotta floor inlays with floor to ceiling windows and unobstructed views of Saint Sacerdos Cathedral, this room is a gem and always open to guests. Breakfast is served here and guests often enjoy their goodies from the market, are free to use laptops, read a good book, or have a drink by the fireplace.
